Because of his commendable work in helping uplift the lives of Filipinos with disabilities, Dr. Cecilio Pedro, founder and President of Lamoiyan Corp. and Chairman of the Deaf Evangelistic Alliance Foundation (DEAF, INC.), was cited recently by the 15th Congress of the House of Representatives.
In House Resolution No. 2627 filed by Rep. Winnie “Winston” Castelo, Congressman of the 2nd District of Quezon City with the Committee on Social Services, the resolution cited Dr. Pedro for his “Exemplary Accomplishment in the Promotion of the Welfare of the Deaf Community in promoting the welfare of the deaf through employment, education and other learning modalities to give them a chance of life like normal educated people.”
Dr. Pedro has long been a champion of Filipino pride through his products and his advocacy to help people with physical disabilities particularly the deaf. By March 2013, Lamoiyan will celebrate 25 years of dedicated service and look forward to continue uplifting the lives of Filipinos in the coming years.
